Two weeks ago, my Mr. and I went on a short trip to the Art & Design Hotel Napura in Terlan/South Tyrol and it was the perfect getaway. It only took us two hours by car and we made a stop in Bolzano to visit the great market to buy fresh fruit and of course Zara Home. Terlan is only a few kilometer away from Bolzano and the street is a bit higher than the hotel itself so we had a great view when we approached the hotel. It looks like a piece of art and we were got a warm welcome when we arrived. The suite was amazing and we instantly felt like home!

What I like best about the hotel:
  • The design of the hotel inside and also outside is amazing! It is pretty wherever you look and the suites are just perfectly divided. We had a small kitchen and also a nice balcony with a great view!
  • The breakfast was rich and the staff was great! We even had a glass of champagne with our breakfast everyday.
  • On the rooftop was the spa area with many sunbeds, three whirl pools - which weren't heated (thank god!) because it was already 30°C - and a sauna. The view was amazing!

What I don't like that much:
  • This is of course complaining on a high level but I want to be as realistic as possible because it's easy to say that everything was just great: unfortunately there are no restaurants reachable by foot which means that you need to use public transport or a car to get to the city of Terlan. The good thing is though that the hotel lies in a very calm area and you hear no noises whatsoever.

  • At the same time there were some younger people having a party weekend at the hotel which wasn't really disturbing us because we are also young but we didn't like that they had multiple bears on the rooftop spa area and they became louder and louder. It would have been great if someone from the hotel would have checked the area every other hour to see if everything is fine and tell these guests that it would be great to consider others.
