My Top 5 DIY Blogs

As a blogger I'm of course a big fan of other blogs myself. Besides print media, internet, TV and the daily life, I get a lot of inspiration for elastyle from various blogs. I'm always looking for new trends, useful make up tips, ideas for use at home and exciting projects to make myself. That's why I would like to present you my fave blogs that have become my favorites over the years. I would like to start with DIY blogs because they are amongst the blogs that are most fascinating because it's not always easy to create good content for such blogs. That's why my respect goes to the following top 5 DIY blogs:

A Beautiful Mess

Here we’re talking about a pretty professional DIY blog – the first book resulting on the blog was already published and the second one is coming up soon this year. Elsie and Emma the successful sisters from Missouri set themselves the target on creating happiness every day through a homemade lifestyle. The DIY projects on their blog are really different. On the one hand there are easy projects that can be done with a few, cheap things (like the great kitchen utensils container, made with a simple glass and an adhesive foil with a marble pattern) and on the other hand, things can become pretty elaborate, which you’re almost afraid to try yourself (like the great fire place in the garden). I’m definitely waiting already for their second book. Can’t wait to get some inspirations to use at home!

A Pair And A Spare

What I love about this blog, are the truly realizable and in the end also applicable things (like this gorgeous trench coat and these super cute bow bracelets). All DIY projects which Geneva shows on her blog I would immediately try out myself. There is nothing completely crazy on the blog. Nothing where you would shake your head and think ‘Yeah of course and she surely left her home like this!’. Most of the projects on ‘A Pair And A Spare’ involve fashion since Geneva started designing her own clothes and documenting the process of it at an early age. She already worked with a lot of brands and wrote for several publications. I’m a big fan and can’t wait to see more!

Classy Clutter

Mallory and Savannah's blog is all about entertaining! I would love to be a guest at one of their parties because their amazing final touches and love of detail (whether it’s cute chalkboards for fruit bowls or pumpkins with polka dots for Halloween). The two of them have a really great style and embellish everything there is without changing it completely. It’s also a lot about storage & organization and interior (especially for kids). When we’re going to have a bigger apartment, I’ll definitely try to implement some of their ideas and hope that it turns out only half as good as theirs.

Monsterscircus

Mette’s blog 'Monsterscircus' is all about organization, decoration and home accessories. The projects all seem pretty grown up, she uses a lot of earthy colors and materials which I like a lot. Mette is creating a lot of useful things (like the key chain cord organizer) but also embellishes many everyday objects (like the leather tags she did for herbal planters). All her projects seem to be very timeless and classic and would make great gifts because everybody would be happy to receive such a pretty DIY present. It just meets each taste!

I Spy DIY

Jenni’s blog is really young, fresh and above all colorful. A proper good mood blog. I love the creativity and positive energy that defines this blog. Jenni is getting inspired from magazines and if she can’t find anything, she’s just does it herself (whether it’s pineapple print cushions for the garden or a marble tray for her vanity). Another big topic is fashion – shirts are getting imprinted and jeans are getting embellished with rhinestones. ‘I Spy DIY’ is a really great blog that provides a lot of inspiration and shows, that everything is doable.
