Finally the time has come: Lent began! I'm so happy because there is no other chance I can resist my biggest addiction: sugar! I would eat sweets all day... My perfect day would look like this: Nutella toast for breakfast, chocolate and gummibears for lunch, cupcakes for dinner and cookies for midnight snacks. If I would always satisfy my cravings I would probably weigh more than 200 kilo.

Lent is the perfect cleanse for my body and the best addiction therapie. The last years I've always mastered the 40 days and I hope I'll make it again this year. It's important to show myself that I have willpower and I can overcome my inner weakness. Furthermore I'm of the opinion that you can easily give up something for 40 days a year - which seems to be a problem for many people in this prosperous society we're living in.

Due to the fact that I'm craving for sweets even more after I had fast food, salty snacks and alcohol, I'm also going to give up those things for the coming 40 days. To feel good about my body and to be balanced I would like to do sports three times a week.

What I'm going to give up:

- Processed sugar (sweets, jam, chewing gum, ...)
- Salty snacks (Chips, salted nuts, ...)
- Fast Food (incl. white flour products)
- Alcohol

What are my goals:

- Active lifestyle
- Less tiredness and lack of motivation
- Cleaner skin
- New body feeling

The first day is going pretty well so far but there are another 39 days to come where I have to show strenght. I'm going to post a couple of healthy recipes till Easter and on my social media channels I'll share my meals and motivation level with you guys.

Do you also give up something for lent? Please share it with us!
