I've never had a proper advent wreath since I moved out of home. Last year we had this candle stand where we put on four red candles. But still, as there were five candles on the stand it did not feel right. So this year I really wanted to have an advent wreath but I didn't wanted it to be the usual, tasteless advent wreath covered with cinnamon sticks and dried oranges. That's why I got us an antique silver plate and bought some classic beige candles. To top it all off I got some branches and fir cones which makes it look all natural. Because we won't get a christmas tree in our apartment (because we will celebrate christmas with our families) this is our substitution.
