Almost my whole life changed in the last three months: my Mr. and I moved to a new city and bought our first flat there, my relationship status went from "in a relationship" to "engaged" and I have a new job. It sounds like a lot and I can tell you, it was at some point. The new flat and the new job were already planed but you have to organize and plan so many things till it's all set. The engagement was a complete surprise and came out of the blue but let's start at the beginning:
1) New City
About one or two years ago we already decided that we want to invest in a new home but last summer we were so tired of searching for the perfect flat that we almost quit. Buying a flat in west Austria is a nightmare because it is the most expensive place in the whole country. Also renting an apartment is quite expensive but we almost decided to go for that before we found our new home. It was a perfect mix of price, location, features and size. So if you're looking for a flat or a house to buy don't get frustrated because you'll find a great place as soon as you stop looking for it.Â
2) New Job
Since I finished my Master's degree I was working for the same company and even though I liked my job a lot it was time for a change. Sometimes you just have to leave your comfort zone to find out what else there is in life. I'm still working for the same company (the one before was a subsidiary company) and I'm responsible for Social Media and PR projects.
3) New Everything
My Mr. is my Everything who is with me for more than six years now. We experienced so many things together like great traveling (USA, Thailand, France, Greece), both of my graduations, his start into self employment and much more. I'm still looking forward to see him every night and that shows me that he's the right one for me. Looks like he felt the same and that's why he asked me to marry him at the beginning of this year. I was so surprised because I never thought that he might do it at this stage of our relationship and straight after moving in our new home but I can't wait to marry him around this time next year.Â
