DIY Garland

About two weeks ago we threw our beloved friend a baby shower (find the pictures of it here). I really wanted to have a garland so that the table looks a bit more festive but when I saw the prices for it online (and they weren't even pretty) I decided to make my own.

I was really surprised that it came out so nice and I'll definitely redo this garland again for a birthday, wedding or another baby shower! Have fun trying!

You need: colored card, white printing paper (min. 80g), scissors, thread

I saved the letters separately in Photoshop first and chose a funny font that looked like hand writing. If you don't have a printer to hand you can also draw the letters yourself on a sheet of paper, provided you have nice writing otherwise it could look messy.

Then I printed the letters, cut them into triangles and sticked them onto the card.

Afterwards I cut the blue card into 1,5 cm bigger triangles so that it makes a border.

As a placeholder I cut out little hearts from a template I found on the internet.

Then I punched a hole at each end, put it on a thread and hung it on the wall (make sure the tape you use is not too sticky so that half of the wall comes off when you remove it!).
