As a big fan of Pinterest (here you can find my pinboards) I also wanted to have a pinboard at home, where I can pin things from my daily life. May it be pictures, thank you notes, invitations, memories, etc. - I just wanted to have all those things in one place in my home office. Mostly it's small things that inspire to make a new post therefore I wanted to pin inspirations and memories that you wanna see over and over again. The idea for this pinboard I got from Pinterest. In order that the wall fits to my home office I kept it in black and white. Over the time it will be filled with colorful things. The pinboard was done within 10 minutes and didn't cost me more than 10€ in total. And here's how I did it:

All you need: Styrofoam board, pins, elastic band, fabric and scissors

Step 1: Place Styrofoam board on the fabric. The fabric should be approx. 5-7 cm longer than the board so that you can easily fold it in. Then cut the fabric.

Step 2: First fold in the fabric in the middle, then fold in each side of the fabric – really close to the Styrofoam. Tauten the fabric so there will be no creases.

Step 3: Fix each side with a pin.

Step 4: Measure out the whole board then divide it in halves or quarters, depending how much bands you would like to have.

Step 5: Fix the elastic band with pins on one corner and pull it across the board to where you’ve placed the mark. There you fix it again with pins. Repeat this step as often as you want depending on how big you want the spaces between the bands to be.

Final product.
