2017... Our year finally started and the excitement gets bigger every day. There is hardly one day were I don't think about the fact that we will soon "really" belong together and won't ever be separated anymore. When I think about this I have to smile and I really feel like I'm at the right place now, with the love of my live. Sorry but I just had to say this... Everyone of you who got married or will get married soon will know this feeling. It is a very emotional time, everything changes and somehow it all stays the same which is the best part of it! And now we'll come to the updates of the last month.
1) Registry Office
At the beginning of the year I called the registry office of our city to arranged an appointment for our civil wedding, two weeks before our actual wedding. Someone from the registry office told us you can only call 6 months in advance so I did. The woman who answered the call almost laughed at me and said "Well, let's see if there is an appointment left for June!" and I was really confused. She said you can call earlier and that this information was totally wrong. Thank god we didn't plan our civil wedding on a weekend so we got the date we wanted!
2) Wedding Rings
Somehow I found out that the brand my engagement ring is from has a store in Innsbruck so we'll go there and have a look at some wedding rings soon. I can't wait to see my Mr. wearing a ring but somehow I really can't imagine how it will look like since he never wears any jewelry. We definitely want the same shape and polish but we'll probably go with another color since my engagement ring is shiny rose gold and I guess that is just too much for a man.
3) Honeymoon
OMG... Who would have thought that! One of the most difficult topics is off the table. One might think it is very cool to plan and book a honeymoon - not when it's planned to take place July and you normally already need 3 weeks to decide where to go for a weekend city trip. We are not really decisive when it comes to booking a holiday and since the dream destinations (Maledives, Seychelles and Mauritius) are off the list due to the weather it was really a though one. We now postponed our dream vacation (maybe until our 10th anniversary in February 2020?!) and decided for a European destination for our honeymoon. We'll do a little trip around the Caribbean of the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia in Italy. This island is a dream came true with white beaches, turquoise water and many hidden bays and since I already stayed there for one month during my Au-Pair time there are some place I just want to show my Mr. If you have some restaurant or trip tips for us please let us know!
